Best Lebanese Food in Jeddah | Goodies Restaurant

Goodies offers a delicious lamb shank on top of infused rice and healthy twig of rosemary

While Goodies has incredible Lebanese food, what I think stands out is it’s shawarma. I first ordered it on Hungerstation, perfect ratio of garlic sauce to a well-roasted chicken, so good that we ended up going to the restaurant for dinner afterwards.

Walking in, I see why it’s also a great place to go with family. There’s a dining area where you sit under a tree, and a gourmet market adjacent where you can buy Lebanese pickles, oils, and pantry staples that make the food taste even better when you leave.

The bread came first, and this is where you know it’s going to be a good meal. It was warm, smelled incredible, and paired with an olive tapenade that was so fresh and addictive I caught myself eating it straight from the plate. No pretense. Just good olives, good oil, good bread.

Then came the shawarma. I’ve eaten a lot of shawarma across Saudi, and this one arrived with crispy breading on the outside that gave way to tender chicken meat layered underneath. The garlic sauce coated everything without erasing the other flavors. The ratio between the meat, the crispy exterior, and the soft bread was so memorable. It sounds small, but this is what made Goodies the best Lebanese food in Jeddah.

The lamb shank came out on its own platter, melt-in-your-mouth tender. It probably came in around 650 to 750 calories depending on how it was prepared, but at that point we were too busy eating to calculate. We’d come as a family, and the meal had that comfortable rhythm where no one speaks much because everyone’s focused on the food in front of them.

The interior is elegant – wood tones and warm lighting, the kind of space that feels both modern and timeless. It’s never felt touristy to me, which matters in Jeddah. It’s the kind of place where families come on weekends for lunch/dinner, where everyone’s doing their own thing. If you want breakfast, check out Camel Meat for Breakfast in Jeddah.

Dessert in Saudi Arabia

By the time we were full, the dessert menu arrived. We didn’t order – honestly, we were too content. But I noticed the dessert cases as we left, and there’s clearly something worth coming back for. Next time, that’s the plan.

If you want to eat shawarma the way someone who actually knows what they’re doing makes it, come here. Come hungry, come with people you like eating with, and don’t skip the bread and tapenade.
